What is the Michelin Promise Plan?

Michelin tires are known for their superior quality, but are you aware of the Michelin Promise Plan? Every Michelin tire comes with this promise, or more so, a warranty. Michelin is confident all of their tires are top of the line so they are able to provide a lot of satisfaction with every purchase.

The Michelin Promise Plan is above and beyond the high-quality materials and manufacturing processes used to manufacture every Michelin tire. When you buy a Michelin tire you expect high-quality traction in all weather conditions, great stopping power, and a quiet, comfortable ride. To make your investment in tires even more valuable than just protecting you and your passengers you can use the benefits of the Michelin Promise Plan to gain more from your tire purchase.

What Do You Get With the Michelin Promise?

The Michelin Promise Plan is broken down into three areas; 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee, Roadside Assistance, and A manufacturer’s Limited Warranty & Treadwear Warranty.

First, the 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. Michelin themselves says if you are not 1005 satisfied with your new tires, bring the tires and original sales receipt back to your original retail location where the tires were bought within 60 days of purchase and Michelin will gladly exchange them for a new set of tires of equal or lesser value.

Michelin’s Roadside Assistance goes far beyond tire care. This roadside assistance can be a blessing when you’re on a long family road trip, when you’re in an unfamiliar area for a business trip, or if you’re on the road for kids’ sports and not sure what is close by for assistance when something goes wrong.

With your purchase of Michelin tires you have access to Roadside Assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in the U.S. and Canada, and the access is available for 3 years after your purchase of replacement Michelin tires.

The four services provided with roadside assistance are flat tire change,  fluid delivery, lockout service, and battery jump-start. A flat tire change is what is sounds like. You can call the Michelin roadside assistance number  (1-888-553-4327) and tell them your location so they can send someone out to unbolt the flat tire and bolt on your spare tire.

Fluid delivery is great for all of us out there that try to push every drop of gas we have in a tank before we stop, or for those that get caught up with driving and forget to see your low gas light came on the dashboard. The fluid service will bring out gas, water, etc. to you when you are stranded. The delivery service is free, but you will have to pay for the actual fluid itself.

Who hasn’t walked up to their car grabbed the handle and worried you locked yourself out of your car? It seems to maybe be a thing of the past now that most vehicles have smart keys; but nonetheless, if you do lock yourself out of your vehicle Michelin will send out a service to help you gain access back into your car.

Lastly, the battery jump start is wonderful when you’re driving along, it’s snowing, and you need to get to a hockey tournament but your car won’t start after stopping for lunch. Simply call the Michelin number and they will have you jumped and driving again shortly.

And now for the standard limited warranty and limited mileage warranty. Most motorists are familiar with a tire mileage warranty. This is the mileage a manufacturer says you will achieve out of the tire when you do an alignment at the time of purchase and rotate the tires every 5,000 – 6,000 miles. There is also a standard limited warranty that comes with all tires. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original usable tread, or for 6 years from the date of purchase, whichever occurs first.

Overall, when you purchase a set of Michelin tires for your van, truck, SUV, or sedan you expect great quality in the traction and comfortability of the ride but always remember you get so much more value than just the exceptional performance of the tires. You have three years of roadside assistance, and 60-day satisfaction, along with a tread and standard warranty. You always are provided top-line value with your purchase of Michelin tires.
